Company Portrait
Airport Weeze (NRN) recorded 2.25 million passengers in 2025, making it one of the international airports in NRW. The airport, which began scheduled flights in 2003, is one of Europe’s youngest airports and at the same time one of Germany’s first majority privately owned airports. The international civil airport is located in the Kleve district, about 70 km north of Düsseldorf, near the Dutch border on the A57. In a 60-minute drive radius, more than 10 million people live. About 40 percent of departing airport customers come from the Netherlands, around 60 percent from the Lower Rhine region, the Ruhr area, and the Rhineland. The airport premises and the adjacent logistics and industrial area – Airport City Weeze – cover 620 hectares.
